BOYCOTT Africa Cup of Nations In Morocco

Mr. Kwesi Gyan Appenteng President of the Ghana Association of Writers is on the War path and is calling for the boycott of the African Cup of Nations Tournament scheduled to be held in Morocco later this year.

 The call by Mr Gyan Appenteng deserves to be taken seriously because of his personal influence both in Ghana and throughout West Arica.

He is currently a Member of the National Media Commission, served as Editor of the influential West Africa Magazine, Edited the Daily Graphic and was Secretary-General of the All African Students Union (AAUS).

According to him, Morocco cannot withdraw from the African Union and Still pretend to be part of the African fraternity.

 Morocco withdrew from the African Union following its disagreement with the Union on its colonial occupation of Western Sahara.

 Mr Gyan Appenteng was speaking at an event of solidarity of solidarity with Western Sahara at the International Press Centre in Accra.

He said Ghana as the torch bearer of the decolonisation process in Africa cannot take part in the African Cup of Nations to give legitimacy to the colonial occupation of Western Sahara.

Mr. Akoto Ampaw, a legal practitioner said the continued occupation of Western Sahara by Morocco is a blot on the commitment of African people and governments to free themselves from domination and oppression.

Mr Kwesi Pratt, Jnr. Managing Editor of The Insight said the violations of the rights of the Saharawi people by the Morocco Occupationist forces is an affront to the decent World.

He called on all progressive people throughout the world to join the struggle to free Western Sahara from colonial Occupation.

Western Sahara is Africa’s last colony.

WHY EPA?

Citizens of West Africa meeting in the Senegalese capital, Dakar have kicked against the signing of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with the European Union.

They have demonstrated that Ghana and La Cote d’Ivoire which are championing the initiative in West Africa stand to lose substantial revenue if they sign on to the agreement .

 According to these citizens representing all the 12 West African Countries if Ghana signs the EPA, it will lose more than US $350 million.

On the other hand if Ghana refuses to sign the EPA it will only lose US$51.9 million.

In the face of these facts we are at a complete loss as to why Ghanaian public officials are jumping over themselves to sign this obviously obnoxious agreement.

What is happening? Is there something that we don’t know?

The Mahama administration will most certainly have a lot to explain if it signs on to the EPA especially in the light of massive opposition from organised labour, students and a large section of the business community.

The 1914-2014 EU deja-vu complex

The "coincidental" timing of the crisis in the Ukraine is not lost on Europeans, who can be a superstitious lot when it comes to the threat of another World War. Statements like the below made by President Obama's former ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, do not help matters:

'"The last 24 hours was a major escalation," McFaul told TIME in a Friday interview, as Ukraine's military began an operation to reclaim eastern cities and towns taken over by pro-Russia militants. The offensive has led to violence, including reports that Ukrainian helicopters were shot down by pro-Russian forces. Brewing violence in the southern port city of Odessa a claimed dozens of lives Friday.' (Time)

Now, about that eerie déjà-vu feeling, here is a very brief thumbnail sketch of how WWI began: On 28 July, 1914 the Austro-Hungarians fired the first shots in preparation for the invasion of Serbia. As Russia mobilized, Germany invaded neutral Belgium and Luxembourg then marched towards France, leading Britain to declare war on Germany.

Damn, just when it looked like Europe had shaken the albatross of war off its collective neck, the stench of death arises out of nowhere. Odd that it should come exactly a century later.  Are we caught in some hitherto unsuspected 100-year historical, karma cycle, like the once-in-a-century perfect storm?

The players are not exactly the same but they are evoking the ghosts of the past. Putin is not trying to rebuild the Soviet Union that is a fallacy. What the Russian president, and his people, are deathly afraid of is the specter of fascism raising its ugly head in Germany, and other parts of Europe via the 28-nation NATO alliance. 

Russia is afraid of getting squeezed to death in the American backed NATO-pincers. After all, the western Ukrainians that launched the Maidan revolt, and coup, in Kiev had backed Hitler in WWII. When push comes to shove the loyalties of the Russians that live in the Crimea and in other parts of the eastern Ukraine are to the Mother country not Kiev. 

What this whole process has done, and Washington has conducted these same de-stabilization campaigns elsewhere, is to open up old wounds; using the old divide and conquer trick. Make no mistake, neither the Russians nor the Chinese are fooled one bit (they will hold joint military exercises this month).

A recent article in Pravda clearly shows the Russian president's perspective. "According to Putin, the fact that the U.S. has come out to the forefront in resolving the crisis in Ukraine shows that it was the USA that was originally at the head of the process. 'They have now manifested themselves as the leaders of this whole process,' said Vladimir Putin." (Pravda)

European stock markets were jittery, on Monday, after clashes broke out in six cities in eastern Ukraine over the weekend; while pro-Russian forces overran a police station in Odessa, freeing close to 70 activists held there. In reality, the chaos is spreading like a wildfire.

In fact, the civil war is already on, though it seems only some Europeans are starting to fully grasp it. The situation has spun out of control. That is how large-scale wars begin. Where are the voices of reason urging a cease fire and talks, as in the United Nations?

In truth, Putin has been backed into a corner. Did he have any choice but to annex the Crimea and protect ethnic Russians after the vote? In virtually all other regards he has acted with restraint and been rather conciliatory given the aggressive actions that the US and NATO have taken.

The western press quickly 1) reincarnated Cold War rhetoric and 2) demonized Putin as a Soviet-style Hitler wannabe. America cancelled the G8 meeting scheduled for Sochi in June, a diplomatic slap in the face. They also cancelled all future relationships with the Russian Space Agency, except for the current contract that has ROSKOSMOS flying US astronauts to the International Space Station, ditto...

Yet, although he threatened to retaliate against US and NATO economic sanctions, the Russian president decided against engaging in a shoving match. In the meantime Putin has stressed he wants to resolve the situation through diplomacy and avoid any military confrontation. At least his actions are consistent with his rhetoric, which gives them some credibility.

What about the statements and actions of the US and NATO?   Senator "shoot first, aim later" McCaine who was in Kiev just before the rebellion is leading the charge to raise $100 million to wire Kievin the US senate. Though McCain would prefer Obama send American troops instead. Last week the NATO commander ordered his forces to move in on the Ukraine.

On May 2, days after the United States and the European Union slapped Moscow with a new round of sanctions, German Chancellor Merkel arrived at the White House for meetings and a working lunch with Obama.

The German chancellor came in a high mood because of her decisive re-election victory late last year -- but that was tempered by pressure coming from all sides as Europe tries to show resolve against Russia on Ukraine -- without harming its own economic interests of course. We call that putting on the Rambo-face diplomacy, as long as no sacrifice is involved.

That is the same kind of 'let me have my cake and eat it too' that the war machine- Europe of yesteryear had, when it pushed the world over the cliff into two bloody wars, the first in 1914. Get a clue Bonn, Paris, London, et al...

Bio-weapons could lead to ‘apocalypse’

This week we learned that the Middle East Respiratory Virus (MERS) has appeared in the USA. Simultaneously, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 240 cases of Ebola have been reported in West Africa, causing 136 deaths.

Both viruses are notoriously lethal. Those infected are likely to die.

Fortunately, neither virus is sufficiently transmissible to create a massive outbreak. But that could change – if weaponized forms are developed and released. The worst-case scenario: hundreds of millions or even billions of deaths, and an end to civilization as we know it.

The bad news is that MERS, Ebola, and many other disease agents have almost certainly been weaponized. And it gets worse: some of the world’s biggest biological weapons programs are in the hands of criminals and lunatics.

Israel and apartheid-era South Africa have been among the most notorious bio-weapons outlaws. Israeli scientists not only helped apartheid South Africa develop nuclear weapons, but also spearheaded Project Coast, which included a bio-weapons component. The South African apartheid leaders were looking for a way to reduce or eliminate the black population, and the Israelis eagerly assisted them.

Israel has also tried to develop race-specific and ethnic-specific bio-weapons targeting Arabs. In 1998, the British newspaper Sunday Times reported that Israeli germ warfare scientists were looking for “distinctive Arab genes” that could be targeted by genetically-engineered biological weapons. The Sunday Times cited inside sources, as well as a US Defense Department report on Israeli race-specific bio-weapons.

Unfortunately, Israel is not the only regime with criminals and madmen running its germ warfare program. The United States of America also fits that description.

In 1975, the US ratified the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC). That treaty prohibits the 170 state signatories from developing, stockpiling, or using any form of biological weapon.

The unfortunate effect of the treaty was to force the US bio-weapons program underground. A draconian system of “national security” classification atop a shell game of private contractors and spin-offs has resulted in a program that has spun totally out of control – and may even have fallen, at least in part, into the hands of global organized crime.

The 9/11 anthrax false flag operation revealed the criminality of the secret US bio-weapons apparatus. Unknown actors within the US bio-weapons apparatus murdered five Americans with ultra-weaponized anthrax manufactured by CIA assets at Battelle Memorial Laboratories in Ohio and tested at Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. The FBI’s two anthrax scapegoats – first Steven Hatfill and then Bruce Ivins – were used to distract attention from the obvious fact that the anthrax letters were part of the larger 9/11 operation.

The 2001 anthrax attacks were part of a false flag attack in service to Zionism designed to incite the mass murder of Muslims. The anthrax letters contained the message: “Death to America. Death to Israel. Allah is great.” Obviously, whoever sent the anthrax letters wanted people to blame Muslims – and to mass-murder Israel’s Muslim enemies. Since then, Americans have killed more than a million Muslims and badly damaged most of the “seven countries in five years” that Israel didn’t like and that were therefore targeted for destruction, according to Gen. Wesley Clark.

Meanwhile, the only non-Muslim member of the “axis of evil” – North Korea – has been allowed to develop and deploy nuclear weapons, and to threaten to incinerate Washington D.C. The US government does not care. It only worries about countries that Israel doesn’t like. Obviously, the US has become an abject slave of the Zionists who seized power in the 9/11 coup d'état.

How can we be sure that 9/11 anthrax was a single operation? Just ask Jerome Hauer, the radical Zionist and Project for a New American Century (PNAC) bio-warfare expert who put the Bush-Cheney White House on Cipro – an anti-anthrax drug – on September 11, 2001. Hauer, also an expert on responses to building collapses, was managing director of Kroll Associates – the company that provided “security” for the World Trade Center and facilitated the controlled demolitions of the three skyscrapers on 9/11.

Hauer also supervised the massive Tripod 2 bio-warfare exercise that brought thousands of FEMA personnel to New York on September 10, 2001, and provided cover for the deceptive demolition of the World Trade Center the following day. Some of Hauer’s FEMA personnel on 9/11 were told by higher authorities that the attacks that day involved anthrax. Yet the anthrax attacks, which began on September 18, 2001, did not become public knowledge until the beginning of October.

America’s underground bio-weapons programs are criminal by their very nature. The participants are, by definition, international outlaws. No wonder these programs have been infiltrated by global organized crime.

The latest American bio-weapons scandal involves covert US-controlled germ warfare facilities in the former Soviet republics. One notorious example is the Richard G. Lugar Center for Public and Animal Health Research in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. The Center was supposedly closed in May 2013, after reports that it was experimenting with cholera and other deadly viruses.

Former Advisor to President of Georgia Jeffrey Silverman broke the story about the bio-weapons research at the Lugar Center, suggesting that its high-profile closure was a red herring designed to distract attention from the many other joint US-Georgian facilities doing similar work. According to Veterans Today editor Gordon Duff, reliable sources have claimed that Georgian facilities run by the same operators manufactured the sarin gas used in last August’s failed false flag attack at al-Ghoutha, Syria.

Fears that dangerous biological agents are in irresponsible hands spiked in 2009 when it emerged that deadly H5N1 (avian flu) viruses were “inadvertently” inserted into Baxter International’s batches of flu vaccine shipped to 18 countries. The “mistake” was miraculously caught by a Czech lab worker who discovered that ferrets given the vaccine died. Had this contaminated vaccine been administered as intended, it could have led to a highly contagious and extremely deadly hybrid seasonal flu - avian flu mutation that could have killed millions of people.

Why does the international community continue to allow lunatics and criminals to develop deadly biological agents? Obviously, the Biological Weapons Convention needs to be strengthened with enforcement provisions, and known bad actors, including all participants in the US, Israeli, and Georgian programs as well as Baxter International personnel, need to be thoroughly debriefed and rehabilitated.

If we do not address this problem now, the next outbreak of MERS or Ebola could be the last.
