Stephen Ntim, NPP Chairmanship contestant |
By
Christian Kpesese
The
Campaign Team of Mr Stephen Ntim, a Chairmanship aspirant of the New Patriotic
Party (NPP) is bubbling with optimism.
It
claims that Mr Ntim will win the race because there is a ground swell of
support for him at the end of the first phase of his national campaign tour.
Mr
Achibald Korletey, campaign Manager says that Mr Ntim has inspired the
grassroots of the party with his message of hope.
According
to him, Mr Ntim`s message has dwelt on his vast political experience, unity,
past achievements and the claim that as the First Vice Chairman of the party he
contributed significantly to the NPP`s victory in the 2004 elections.
According to Mr Korletey, Mr Ntim has been
nicknamed ``Victory Chairman’’ by delegates because of the success of his
campaign.
In
Tamale, it is claimed that he was virtually mobbed by enthusiastic party
supporters.
Mr
Ntim`s campaign team insists that his strength lies in his ability to raise
relevant issues without engaging in mudslinging.
It
is widely held that Mr Ntim and Mr Afoko are the hot favourites in the contest
for the chairmanship.
Party
insiders say that now that Mr Afoko has been cleared by the Vetting Committee,
the battle line has been drawn for a keen contest between the two leading
candidates.
Melba Hernandez with President Raul Castro |
Melba
Hernández Rodríguez del Rey, known as a Heroine of the Moncada for her
participation in the first armed action led by Fidel Castro against the
Fulgencio Batista dictatorship, died in Havana, official media said. She was
92.
The
Central Committee of the Communist Party reported Sunday "with deep
sorrow" the death of Hernández from complications related to diabetes.
"For
our people, she is one of the most glorious and beloved combatants of the
revolutionary process, an everlasting example of the Cuban woman," the
Central Committee said in a statement.
The
statement recalled that she was an active participant in the fight against the
1952-1959 Batista regime and was one of the first to join the ranks of the
revolutionary movement led by Fidel Castro.
It
also noted that Hernández and the late Haydee Santamaría were among the
participants in Fidel's July 26, 1953 assault on the Moncada Garrison in
Santiago de Cuba.
Hernández
spent time behind bars for her part in the attack and once released, played a
"decisive role" in compiling and organizing the notes that Fidel
Castro was able to sneak out of jail and which constituted his defense in the
Moncada trial, during which he uttered the phrase: "History will absolve
me."
Following
the victory of the revolution in 1959, Hernández held a succession of important
posts, including that of Cuban ambassador to Vietnam and Cambodia.
Melba
Hernández, a 1943 graduate of the University of Havana law school, was one of
the founders of Cuba's Communist Party.
Preempting new
lies against Syria
By Tony Cartalucci
The
rise of al-Qaeda in Syria and the predictable bloodbath that followed is the documented
work of US, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Tens of thousands of deaths, devastated cities, and the scattering of terrified Syrian minorities add up to a catastrophe that has unfolded in Syria over the last 2 years.
International organizations including the UN call it the worst humanitarian catastrophe of the 21st century, and despite this, have put little effort into tracking down the actual genesis of the conflict, the key players perpetuating the violence, and in prescribing the obvious solutions to this conflict.
With a recent initiative by Russia and Syria blunting the West's pro-war drive, Western propagandists have attempted to reassert their crumbling narrative regarding the conflict, past, present, and future.
The genesis of Syria's conflict
We are told by Western politicians and Western media houses that the conflict in Syria began with a spontaneous "peaceful," "pro-democracy" uprising influenced by similar demonstrations in Tunisia and Egypt. We are told that these peaceful protests were brutally crushed by the Syrian government and resulted in the militarization of the so-called "opposition."
This is a verified lie.
In an April 2011 AFP report, Michael Posner, the assistant US Secretary of State for Human Rights and Labor, admitted:
"US
government has budgeted $50 million in the last two years [starting in 2009] to
develop new technologies to help activists protect themselves from arrest and
prosecution by authoritarian governments."The report went on to admit that
the US (emphasis added) "organized training sessions for 5,000 activists
in different parts of the world. A session held in the Middle East about six
weeks ago gathered activists from Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon who
returned to their countries with the aim of training their colleagues
there." Posner would add, "They went back and there's a ripple
effect."
Not only were the protests in Syria planned, funded, and directed by the US State Department, years before the so-called "Arab Spring" began, but so were the alleged protests that "triggered" events in Syria - namely similarly engineered protests in Tunisia, Egypt, and the violent US-led subversion carried out in Libya.
What's more disturbing is that the US-engineered "protests" were not designed to overthrow targeted governments, but instead to serve as a smokescreen for similarly pre-planned armed subversion. As early as 2007, under then President George Bush, the arming, funding, and otherwise supporting of sectarian extremists across the Middle East to undermine Lebanon, Syria, and Iran was put into motion.
Admissions by administration officials, intelligence agents, and the very militant groups the US was funding and preparing for armed subversion in 2007 were documented in Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh's New Yorker extensive 9-page report, "The Redirection: Is the Administration's new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?" In it he would state clearly that:
"To
undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has
decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In
Lebanon, the Administration has cooperated with Saudi Arabia’s government,
which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken
Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The US has also
taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A
by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist
groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and
sympathetic to Al Qaeda."
Six years later, it could not be more obvious that indeed, militants aligned to Al Qaeda have been armed, equipped, and unleashed in an unprecedented wave of US-Saudi-Israeli state-sponsored terrorism against Syria and neighboring Lebanon. With safe havens in NATO-member Turkey, US-occupied Jordan, and pouring in from Saudi-friendly regions of Lebanon, it could not be clearer who is behind the rise and perpetuation of Al Qaeda in Syria.
And even in Hersh's 2007 report, "The Redirection," it is made clear that the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia had already begun financing and preparing the sectarian extremist "Muslim Brotherhood" in Syria for the upcoming sectarian bloodbath the West had on the drawing board. Hersh would report:
"[Walid]
Jumblatt then told me that he had met with Vice-President Cheney in Washington
last fall to discuss, among other issues, the possibility of undermining Assad.
He and his colleagues advised Cheney that, if the United States does try to
move against Syria, members of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood would be “the ones
to talk to,” Jumblatt said."
The article would continue by explaining how already in 2007 US and Saudi backing had begun benefiting the Brotherhood:
"There
is evidence that the Administration’s redirection strategy has already
benefitted the Brotherhood. The Syrian National Salvation Front is a coalition
of opposition groups whose principal members are a faction led by Abdul Halim
Khaddam, a former Syrian Vice-President who defected in 2005, and the
Brotherhood.
A former high-ranking CIA officer told me, “The Americans have provided both political and financial support. The Saudis are taking the lead with financial support, but there is American involvement.” He said that Khaddam, who now lives in Paris, was getting money from Saudi Arabia, with the knowledge of the White House. (In 2005, a delegation of the Front’s members met with officials from the National Security Council, according to press reports.) A former White House official told me that the Saudis had provided members of the Front with travel documents."

And yet today, the West feigns ignorance to what they claim is the
inexplicable, unfortunate, "unforeseeable" rise and perpetuation of
Al Qaeda and their de facto political arm, the sectarian Muslim
Brotherhood.
Who's behind al-Qaeda in Syria
Al Qaeda in Syria constitutes the summation of the so-called
"opposition." Despite rhetoric of the contrary, all credible reports
actually citing evidence, including sources from across the West, have
determined that Al Qaeda is the "opposition."
The New York Times would literally proclaim in their April 2013 article, "Islamist Rebels Create Dilemma on Syria Policy," that:
Nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of.
The West has admitted throughout the conflict that it, along with its regional axis, including Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, have been funneling in hundreds of millions of dollars, equipment, and thousands of tons of arms at a time to militants operating in and along Syria's borders.
In the Telegraph's March 2013 article titled, "US and Europe in 'major airlift of arms to Syrian rebels through Zagreb'," it is reported:
It claimed 3,000 tons of weapons dating back to the former Yugoslavia have been sent in 75 planeloads from Zagreb airport to the rebels, largely via Jordan since November
The story confirmed the origins of ex-Yugoslav weapons seen in growing numbers in rebel hands in online videos, as described last month by The Daily Telegraph and other newspapers, but suggests far bigger quantities than previously suspected.
The shipments were allegedly paid for by Saudi Arabia at the bidding of the United States, with assistance on supplying the weapons organized through Turkey and Jordan, Syria's neighbors. But the report added that as well as from Croatia, weapons came "from several other European countries including Britain", without specifying if they were British-supplied or British-procured arms.
British military advisers however are known to be operating in countries bordering Syria alongside French and Americans, offering training to rebel leaders and former Syrian army officers. The Americans are also believed to be providing training on securing chemical weapons sites inside Syria.
The New York Times in a March 2013 article titled, "Arms Airlift to Syria Rebels Expands, With CIA Aid," admits that:
“With help from the CIA, Arab governments and Turkey have sharply increased their military aid to Syria’s opposition fighters in recent months, expanding a secret airlift of arms and equipment for the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad, according to air traffic data, interviews with officials in several countries and the accounts of rebel commanders.
“The airlift, which began on a small scale in early 2012 and continued intermittently through last fall, expanded into a steady and much heavier flow late last year, the data shows. It has grown to include more than 160 military cargo flights by Jordanian, Saudi and Qatari military-style cargo planes landing at Esenboga Airport near Ankara, and, to a lesser degree, at other Turkish and Jordanian airports.”
And now, the US fully admits that the CIA and US State Department are openly arming, funding, and equipping fighters in Syria. The Washington Post's September 2013 article, "US weapons reaching Syrian rebels," admits:
The CIA has begun delivering weapons to rebels in Syria, ending months of delay in lethal aid that had been promised by the Obama administration, according to US officials and Syrian figures. The shipments began streaming into the country over the past two weeks, along with separate deliveries by the State Department of vehicles and other gear - a flow of material that marks a major escalation of the US role in Syria’s civil war.
Clearly, based on previous admissions, claiming this is a "major escalation" is a verifiable lie. The US has already sent the total summation of material support to terrorists operating in Syria over the past 2-3 years it could possibly muster - recent admissions are solely for public consumption. The failure of this material support to turn the tide in the fighting is precisely what triggered the recent fabrications of chemical weapons use in Syria and the subsequent, Iraq-esque attempt to justify direct US military intervention.
One must wonder, how if the US has been funding "moderate rebel groups," to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, and arming them with thousands of tons of weaponry at a time, has al-Qaeda still emerged as the prominent militant group inside Syria? How has al-Qaeda managed to raise the funds and execute this unprecedented logistical feat of a multinational invasion of Syria if the US, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, and Qatar are solely funding "moderates?" Bake sales and carpooling?
Clearly there were never any "moderates." And just as was plotted under Bush in 2007, extremists - al-Qaeda extremists - were intentionally armed, funded, and funneled into Syria to destabilize the nation through a sectarian bloodbath starting in 2011 under the Obama administration and callously portrayed as a "pro-democracy" uprising "brutally crushed" by the "evil Assad regime."
The US' direct, premeditated support of sectarian extremists starting in 2007 and continuing up to and including today, not only solves the "mystery" of al-Qaeda's perpetuation in Syria, it also exposes the fraud of Western democracy - where two diametrically opposed presidents carried out a singular geopolitical agenda, merely behind the cover of their respective rhetorical right/left political platforms. The American people were never really given a choice despite the illusion of "elections" and "political representation."
Israel's role
Perhaps the most dangerous, and yet-to-be-played card in the West's hand, is Israel. Israel poses as a silent observer of the Syrian conflict - taking military action unilaterally in what it tenuously claims is preemptive "self-defense." In reality, it is part of a joint US-Saudi-Israeli axis that has sought to undermine and overthrow Syria and Iran since at least 2007.
Israel is playing a very specific role to keep it isolated from the West and its Arab partners in the region for as long as possible - both to lend extremist forces operating in and around Syria legitimacy they otherwise would not have with overt Israeli backing, as well as to portray Israel as the "victim" of staged or intentionally provoked attacks from within Syria, Lebanon and even Iran. Such "victimization" would allow Israel to retaliate and give Western nations desperately needed justification to also intervene and save their failed proxy war.
This is not mere speculation, but rather a conclusion based on documented policy papers produced by the Fortune 500-funded Brookings Institution, one of many think-tanks engineering US-Saudi-Israeli policy.
One such policy paper, the 2009 Brookings "Which Path to Persia?" report, explicitly states the compartmentalized role Israel would serve in planned subversion and aggression versus Iran and how Israel could offer the West a "foot in the door" to wider military intervention in the region. It states [emphasis added]:
"...it would be far more preferable if the United States could cite an Iranian provocation as justification for the airstrikes before launching them. Clearly, the more outrageous, the more deadly, and the more unprovoked the Iranian action, the better off the United States would be. Of course, it would be very difficult for the United States to goad Iran into such a provocation without the rest of the world recognizing this game, which would then undermine it. (One method that would have some possibility of success would be to ratchet up covert regime change efforts in the hope that Tehran would retaliate overtly, or even semi-overtly, which could then be portrayed as an unprovoked act of Iranian aggression.) " -page 84-85, Which Path to Persia?, Brookings Institution.
And:
"Israel appears to have done extensive planning and practice for such a strike already, and its aircraft are probably already based as close to Iran as possible. as such, Israel might be able to launch the strike in a matter of weeks or even days, depending on what weather and intelligence conditions it felt it needed. Moreover, since Israel would have much less of a need (or even interest) in securing regional support for the operation, Jerusalem probably would feel less motivated to wait for an Iranian provocation before attacking. In short, Israel could move very fast to implement this option if both Israeli and American leaders wanted it to happen.
However, as noted in the previous chapter, the airstrikes themselves are really just the start of this policy. Again, the Iranians would doubtless rebuild their nuclear sites. They would probably retaliate against Israel, and they might retaliate against the United States, too (which might create a pretext for American airstrikes or even an invasion)." -page 91, Which Path to Persia?, Brookings Institution
Similar calls to use Israel, and its regional partner, NATO-member Turkey, to conduct similar provocations versus Syria have been made by Brookings more recently in a report titled, "Assessing Options for Regime Change, Brookings Institution."
In the report, Brookings describes how Israeli efforts in the south of Syria, combined with Turkey's aligning of vast amounts of weapons and troops along its border to the north, could help effect violent regime change in Syria:
"In addition, Israel’s intelligence services have a strong knowledge of Syria, as well as assets within the Syrian regime that could be used to subvert the regime’s power base and press for Assad’s removal. Israel could posture forces on or near the Golan Heights and, in so doing, might divert regime forces from suppressing the opposition. This posture may conjure fears in the Assad regime of a multi-front war, particularly if Turkey is willing to do the same on its border and if the Syrian opposition is being fed a steady diet of arms and training. Such a mobilization could perhaps persuade Syria’s military leadership to oust Assad in order to preserve itself. Advocates argue this additional pressure could tip the balance against Assad inside Syria, if other forces were aligned properly." -page 6, Assessing Options for Regime Change, Brookings Institution.
Israel then, still maintaining this posture and attempting to distance itself from the current political struggle over Syria may still be planning intentional or even staged provocations. A recent warning from Russia involving a false flag attack carried out by terrorists inside Syria against Israel provides a very plausible scenario that would give Israel rhetorical justification to strike Syria in hopes of starting a wider war involving pre-positioned Western forces now on standby.
American "Exceptionalism:" The rotting fruits of dead empires, Hitler's Germany, and racist British imperialism
In a recent speech made by US President Barack Obama, he claimed that the United States was "exceptional," echoing the delusions of grandeur of corporate-financier interests and the think-tank policy makers in their orbit. "American Exceptionalism," proclaims that the US is somehow different than all other nations, and by inference, better. It gives the United States the ability to circumvent international law it itself has contrived, to do as it wills both within and beyond its borders, because it "knows better" than the rest of the world.
Its standing alone on the issue of Syria, with even the American public rejecting wholly the concept of another war based on clearly fabricated evidence, shows just where the wellspring of "American Exceptionalism" lies - among the corporate financier elite who invented it.
It is a revolting concept that echoes the racist imperialism of Britannia and the unhinged belligerence of Nazi Germany, used to justify the violation of human rights through the subjugation by invasion, occupation and wholesale exploitation of other nations. It seeks to justify what evidence, reason, logic, and global consensus has otherwise opposed, and is the last rhetorical resort for a crumbling empire unable to justify its actions any other way.
A nation basing its actions upon the world stage through such justifications is a dangerous one that depends on the illusion of its superiority. As that illusion crumbles, it will seek to reassert it through increasingly desperate and abhorrent mechanisms. This includes false flag attacks to trigger wars where it can justify the flexing of its military might, and thus scare the international community back in line.
With the West pledging to continue the arming and funding of terrorists in Syria, thus jeopardizing the safety of UN inspectors who will eventually attempt to survey, secure, and neutralize Syria's chemical weapons, we can see there is no genuine intent to end the violence in Syria with anything less than regime change in favor of Western interests. The goal was never humanitarian in nature, only the propaganda used to perpetuate the conflict was "humanitarian." A nation that would intentionally create a humanitarian catastrophe to then use as a pretext for further war is a nation exceptional only in regards to the depths of its own depravity. Like their historical predecessors citing "superiority" and "exceptionalism," the interests driving America now are destined for their own ignominious place upon the scrap heap of history. The question is, how much damage will they cause between now and then?

Mother
vitamin D boosts baby muscles
A
new research indicates that higher levels of vitamin D in mothers during
pregnancy help babies have stronger muscles in their later life.
The
study conducted by the scientists at the University of Southampton showed the
impact of the vitamins on baby during mother’s pregnancy.
The
study on 678 children unveiled that women with high levels of vitamin D in the
late stages of pregnancy were more likely to have children with greater muscle
strength.
When
the children were four years old, their grip strength and muscle mass were
measured, researchers clarified at the study report published in the journal of
Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
"There's
some evidence that 'fast' muscle fibres go down in vitamin D deficiency and you
get more fat in muscle," said the lead scientist Dr Nicholas Harvey, from
the Medical Research Council Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit (MRC LEU) at the
University of Southampton.
“These
associations between maternal vitamin D and offspring muscle strength may well
have consequences for later health; muscle strength peaks in young adulthood
before declining in older age and low grip strength in adulthood has been
associated with poor health outcomes including diabetes, falls and
fractures," he added.
"This
study forms part of a larger programme of research in which we are seeking to
understand how factors such as diet and lifestyle in the mother during
pregnancy influence a child's body composition and bone development. This work
should help us to design interventions aimed at optimising body composition in
later adulthood and thus improve the health of future generations," said
Professor Cyrus Cooper, director of the MRC LEU.
An
earlier study carried out by the Australian researchers had disclosed that
women with low blood levels of vitamin D during pregnancy are more likely to
have babies with language problems.
The
findings, published in the journal Pediatrics in 2012, highlighted the
important role that vitamin D levels play especially during the second and
third trimesters in the development of certain brain regions that are involved

experts recommend taking a 10 microgram vitamin D supplement daily for mothers
during pregnancy.
Vitamin
D may be obtained with a well-balanced diet, including various types of fish,
soymilk, broccoli, egg, liver, cheese, butter and fortified milk and cereals.
Getting 10 to 15 minutes of sunshine 3 times a week is also recommended.
Who
will hang in Ukraine?
"It
is the madness of folly, to expect mercy from those who have refused to do
justice; and even mercy, where conquest is the object, is only a trick of war;
the cunning of the fox is as murderous as the violence of the wolf." --
Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 1, 1776
It's
been a busy day on the Ukraine story, starting with a gift from heaven, the
Catherine Ashton-Estonian foreign minister call intercept that we assume the
Russian NSA decided was a good one to put out. God only knows how many of these
they must have, and a lot of Western plotters are shaking in their boots over
when their YouTube turn might come.
At
VT our technical analysis of the triple-angle video compilation of the Maidan
Square murders showed the classic fingerprint of an Intel psyops shooting
provocation. The psyops shooters are saved for when the coup-meisters feel the
tipping point is near, where a massacre will create the wave they need to ride
into power. This is exactly what happened.
It
was depressing to watch the unarmed protesters advancing per some assignment
they were given...; a death sentence for many. Any real security professionals
watching knew that bullets are never to be used on people like this as they
pose no bodily harm to the police. These people did not have any clubs and were
not wearing the combat outfits of the hard core rioters.
Those
of us familiar with this historically nasty business knew we were watching
sacrificial lambs being lead to the slaughter. And we did not have to wait
long. As expected, the demonstrators were shot first, but from behind as you
could clearly see. Behind the demonstrators is hardly a feasible place for
police snipers to be. The across the street cameraman caught the murderers
shooting the demonstrators from about a 30-40% angle from behind, even firing
in bursts, something snipers never do. You could clearly see the bullets
impacting the trees 10 to 12 feet high...giving you the angle they were
shooting down from, which seemed like a third floor position where they could
exit quickly when their dirty deed was done.
Unseen
in the video footage was the professional sniper fire that was used against the
riot policemen. This triggered a general exchange of fire at those on the
ground to deliver the massacre that had been ordered to torpedo the compromise
the opposition had reached with the Yanukovych government.
No
ragtag group of activists pulled this mass murder off. This was a major country
Intel contracted murder operation, and those involved were well paid and long
out of the Ukraine by now. The beneficial partners of these killers and their
handlers will be sitting in the new government.
But
the Russians decided that after letting the West beat up on them for several
days in what one could fairly describe as an orgy of vilification, that it was
time for a counterstrike. And frankly, picking the EU foreign minister was a
brilliant choice.
After
you have listened to the tape once, go back and listen again with the benefit
of already knowing what was said, and listen very carefully. Ashton wanted a
briefing (on Feb 26th) from Estonian Foreign Minister Urma Paet about what he
had learned. Notice how she started the conversation quickly with “your
impressions?” She did not even quickly brief him on what she had already
learned when she obviously would have much greater Intel than he did.
So
he gave her the bad news that a very well-placed activist, 'Olga', had told him
that “evidence shows that people...on both sides – the policemen and the people
from the streets – were killed by the same snipers, showing him photos and
relating that a doctor had said the wounds were all similar, as were the
bullets.
He
added that the new interim government did not want to investigate exactly what
happened, as that is the last thing they would want. Of course there was no
call for one in the West, just a deadly silence on their part. And then Paet
dropped his bomb, “There's a stronger and stronger understanding that is was
not (President) Yanukovych who stood behind the snipers—it was somebody from
the new coalition.”
Ashton
did not seem the slightest bit surprised by this. She was giving no clues as to
what she already knew about what had happened. An interrogator would have
spotted right away that she, the person from a distance, did not ask the man on
the scene who he thought would have been behind it...a most natural question at
that point. Often your best clues come from what people don't say that they
should.
But
she did make a slip, which did not get by us. Baroness Ashton offered that she
thought the EU would do the investigation...something really strange. To have
any credibility at all it would have to be done by a disinterested party, and
the EU would be last on that list.
So
I predict we are going to see the usual rigged investigation here. The EU will
play the role of pressuring the coalition government into agreeing to an
'outside investigation', and the EU will offer to fill that role. Are you
rolling around in laughter at that? An intelligence operation mass killing like
this would have a very carefully choreographed post-shooting control plan to
make sure the expected investigation would be a rigged one. That is never left
to chance; never.
But
I expect to see a big fight over the cover up, and the Russian releasing this
tape was the sending of a very clear signal to the killers that they already
know who did it, and for whom, and will hold that card to play when they can
get the maximum benefit out of it. Such is how hardcore geopolitics can
sometimes be played.
There
is some of the 'good cop, bad cop' routine going on here, too. After the
killings, the US took the lead beating up on the Russians, while Ashton and
Merkel worked the female flank with Putin. As Ashton discussed with Paet on
their call, they had to get funding quickly to the destitute Ukraine before
they slid down the black hole and messed up the plans to make the coup plotters
permanent. And just today we got the big flip news. The US ponied up $1
billion, and the EU is putting up $15 billion. This was the same EU that did
not want to put a lot of cash on the table with their initial offer to entice
Ukraine into the EU. Someone is partying tonight over that $15 billion.
Putin
gave us some clues as to the Russian position. He let Kerry, Obama and the EU
know that if any of the silly sanction threats are executed, that would trigger
a major response from the Russians. Their parliament is already drafting
legislation to freeze the assets of any country that imposes sanctions against
them.
Mr.
Putin spent a masterful two days with his Russian Federation partners making
the only 'adult' statements so far, about how important Ukraine trade was to
all of them and they must not throw the baby out with the bathwater because of
this Ukraine crisis and have nothing at the end of the day.
He
was quick to make clear that the Russian money previously pledged to the
Ukraine was not a dead issue. And he went further in stating that although he
felt Yanukovych was unconstitutionally removed, he was open to discussions with
the interim government as a matter of practicality. This is a cool customer
this Mr. Putin.
I
smell a division of the Ukraine in the making...of sorts. There will be a US/EU
puppet government in western Ukraine, which the Western taxpayers will pay
dearly for, and the Russians will take the East where the major defense
industries are, and they would never give up. Their 'stimulus' money can then
stay on their side of the fence and a big chunk of the $35 billion of Ukraine
red ink will get a big dent put in it. So this is not all doom and gloom.
Besides
EU taxpayers on the $15 billion hook, they are about to experience hordes of
hardcore Ukrainian criminal gangs about to get passport free travel within the
EU where there will be a crime wave they will remember for ages. Every gangster
there, from drug dealing, white slavery, murder incorporated and pedophilia
rings will cover the EU like the plague. They will make the Roma look like girl
scouts.
Those
murdered on the Maidan were just priming the pump. There will be many more to
come, and until the EU citizens wake up to the curse the EU has been upon them,
their turn will also come. Don't ask me if the Russians will be smiling as they
watch all this happen, and saying, “You should have left well enough alone.”
US against Crimea self-determination
Map of Crimea Republic |
The
White House Fool has repeatedly declared erroneously and foolishly that it is
“against international law” for Crimea to exercise self-determination.
Self-determination, as used by Washington, is a propaganda term that serves
Washington’s empire but is not permissible for real people to exercise.
On
March 6 Obama telephoned Putin to tell the Russian President again that only
Washington has the right to interfere in Ukraine and to insist against all
logic that only the “government” in Kiev installed by the Washington-organized
coup is “legitimate” and “democratic.”
In
other words, the elected government in Crimea pushed by the people in Crimea to
give them a vote on their future is “undemocratic” and “illegitimate,” but a
non-elected government in Kiev imposed by Washington is the voice of
self-determination and legitimacy.
Washington
is so arrogant that it never occurs to the hubris-infected fools what the world
thinks of Washington’s blatant hypocrisy. Since the Clinton regime, Washington
has done nothing but to violate international law – Serbia, Kosovo,
Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Honduras,
Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia.
Does
Russia have an Africa Command? No, but Washington does.
Is
Russia surrounding the US with military bases? No, but Washington has used the
NATO organization, whose purpose disappeared 23 years ago, to organize Western,
Eastern, and Southern Europe into an empire army with forward bases on Russia’s
borders. Washington is determined to extend the boundaries of a North Atlantic
Treaty Organization to Georgia in Caucasus and to Ukraine on the Black Sea.
Both Georgia and Ukraine are former constituent parts of the Soviet Union.
Washington
is doing the same thing to China and Iran. Washington is working to establish
new air and naval bases in Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand,
Australia, with which to block the flow of oil and other resources into China.
Iran is surrounded by some 40 US military bases and has US fleets standing off
its coastline.
In
Washington’s propaganda, this rank militarism is presented as “defending
democracy.”
The
Russian government continues to act as though Washington’s thrusts at Russia’s
independence and strategic interests can be defused with good sense and
goodwill. But Washington has neither. Since the Clinton regime, Washington has
been in the hands of a collection of ideologues who are convinced that the US
is “the exceptional indispensable country” with the right to world hegemony.
Everything that Washington has done in the 21st century is in pursuit of this
goal.
Washington
intends to break up the Russian Federation itself. Washington funnels huge sums
of money into NGOs inside Russia that serve as Washington Fifth Column and work
hand-in-hand with Washington to discredit Russian free elections, to demonize
Putin and the Russian government, to spread anti-Russian propaganda and
agitation. It is amazing how many Russians actually believe the Western
propaganda.
Washington
is also working to isolate China with the Trans-Pacific-Partnership, but at
this time is primarily focused on destabilizing and isolating Russia.
Washington is desperate to break up the BRICS, the emerging organization of
Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. With the largest countries and
half of the world’s population, the BRICS organization is emerging as a
political and economic power, especially with the organization’s plan to cease
using the US dollar as reserve currency. Ringing Russia with US missile bases
on Russia’s borders impairs Russian sovereignty and independence and, thus,
weakens the BRICS as a countervailing power to Washington.
Many
have been deceived by Washington’s propaganda. The world is slowly waking up,
but is it in time?
The
US media and much of Europe’s speak with one voice parroting Washington’s
propaganda, demonizing Washington’s targets, and preparing insouciant Western
populations for more war. The Western media, like Western governments, is
devoid of integrity. Liars and perverts rule.
Malaysian
plane disappearance linked to 9/11
Malaysia Aviation Director Genaral Rahman |
By
Dr. Kevin Barrett
Transponder
signals mysteriously disappear. Jetliners veer off course, then vanish without
a trace. Seemingly impossible cell phone calls add to the mystery.
It
happened on 9/11. Now it has happened again in Malaysia.
Family
members of the passengers on Malaysian Airlines MH370 report getting ring tones
when they call their missing loved ones. Social networking sites show the
missing passengers "on-line." The airline reports getting ring tones
on the crew's cell phones.
According
to the London Daily Mail, "a Malaysia Airlines official, Hugh Dunleavy has
confirmed to families that his company had tried to call the cellphones of crew
members and they too had also rang out. According to China.org.cn, 19 families
of those missing have signed a joint statement confirming that their calls
connected to their loved ones but that they rang out."
The
implications are astonishing. Again quoting the Daily Mail:
"Telecoms
expert Alan Spencer told MailOnline that if the phones are really ringing, they
can categorically not be under the sea. He added that the phones will only be
ringing if they are ‘switched on, not in water, the battery is charged, and
[they are] near a mobile cell site.’ This means that if the phones are
genuinely ringing, the plane needs to have landed on land – not in the sea –
and be in a location where there is cell service, rather than landing in the
middle of a jungle, for example."
Perhaps
this was not an ordinary plane crash.
Malaysian
authorities report that ground control lost contact with Flight 370 about two
hours after takeoff. As with the four planes on 9/11, the transponder was
inexplicably turned off and the plane veered wildly off course, yet the crew
sent no distress signal – a procedure that takes only a few seconds.
Authorities report that Flight 370 flew hundreds of miles off-course, heading
west instead of north, before disappearing.
The
missing plane seemingly cannot have crashed in the water; if it had, cell
phones would not be ringing out. It must have crashed – or landed – somewhere
with cell phone service.
Some
analysts believe the plane was stolen. According to them, it was an
"inside job" hijacking, probably by remote control.
Radio
journalist Michael Rivero wonders if money is the motive: "Is Malaysia
Flight 370 in a chop shop? A 777 costs roughly $300 million. Given that
scarcity drives up prices, the parts from a 777 would be worth at least $100
million in the aftermarket. There is a motive for the plane to vanish, leave no
trace, and have flown so dramatically off course! If my theory is correct, the
search of the Malacca straights will find nothing. I would start looking at
abandoned/closed airfields in that region with large hangers."
In
an exclusive interview with Truth Jihad Radio, one of America's leading
physicists, Dr. David Griscom, asks whether MH370 may have been stolen by the
same gang of international terrorists behind the 9/11 false flag operation.
"The new Airbuses out of France are now fly-by-wire, which scares me,
because a number of those planes have disappeared in ways that I think they
really didn't crash and disappear; they've been hijacked (by remote control)
and somebody is putting them together for another false flag attack someplace.
The Malaysian plane, a Boeing 777, is just the latest example (of an apparent
remote-hijacking). Before that, there was the Airbus 744 from Brazil to Paris.
It crashed under incredibly anomalous circumstances. And after a few days, they
showed photos of 'various pieces of it' floating out in the water. Totally
staged! One part of it was clearly something that the next wave that hit it
would have sunk."
Dr.
Griscom points out that the anomalous cell phone calls from Malaysian Flight
370 are reminiscent of those from the allegedly hijacked airliners of September
11th, 2001. In both cases, "impossible" cell phone calls puzzled
experts.
The
FBI and the media initially reported 15 cell phone calls from hijacked
airliners on 9/11. At least one of the recipients, Deena Burnett, was
absolutely certain that her husband, a passenger on UA93, had called her from
his cell phone, whose number came up on her caller ID. The problem: The Burnett
call, and the other alleged cell phone calls, could not possibly have been
placed from the airliners, which were flying at high altitudes, too fast and
far beyond the range of 2001 cell phone technology.
In
his article "Phone calls from the 9/11 planes: How they fooled
America," Dr. David Ray Griffin explains that the 9/11 cell phone calls
– starting with the notorious "calls" from Bush Administration
cheerleader Barbara Olson to her husband, Bush's Solicitor General Ted Olson
– must have been faked.
The
FBI agrees with Dr. Griffin. After spending five years telling the American
people about the "cell phone calls," the FBI radically revised its
story in 2006, admitting that 13 of the 15 alleged 9/11 cell phone calls never
happened. Amazingly, the FBI even admitted that Ted Olson never received the
famous phone calls from his wife, who (Olson claimed) had supposedly called him
from hijacked Flight 77.
Olson
should have been immediately arrested for obstruction of justice.
The
FBI has recognized other 9/11 cell call anomalies. For example, according to
the FBI, one of the alleged calls from Flight 93 lasted for two hours and six
minutes after the supposed crash; another lasted 65 minutes after the official
crash time.
No
wonder the FBI has always taken the official position that "Osama Bin
Laden was never wanted in connection with 9/11, because there is no hard
evidence Bin Laden had anything to do with 9/11." The FBI knows 9/11 was
an inside job. They know – as Elias Davidsson's book Hijacking America's Mind
on 9/11 explains – that none of the 19 Arabs blamed for 9/11 was even on board
any of the allegedly hijacked planes.
Pentagon
Comptroller Dov Zakheim, a Zionist extremist, managed to lose 2.3 trillion
dollars from the Pentagon's accounts shortly before 9/11. Zakheim's company SPC
invented a "flight termination system" designed to allow operators to
seize control of aircraft by remote control and fly them from the ground.
Several of the key people who developed Zakheim's "Flight Termination
System" were on the 9/11 flights. Were they silenced? Or rewarded with
money and a new identity in a National Security Witness Protection Program?
Zakheim's
"Flight Termination System" appears to have been used on 9/11.
Was
it also used on Malaysian Airlines Flight 370?
West lie machine, incompetent and bankrupt
United States of America President Hussein Obama |
By Finian
Cunningham
The
US spooks are on the defensive over escalating geopolitical tensions between
America and Russia over Ukraine. This weekend, the leaders of the 6! or so US
intelligence agencies are having to explain to their political masters why they
are called "intelligence" given that they failed to foresee the
Russian security measures that Moscow has deployed in Ukraine's southern
Crimean Peninsula over the past week.
Now
Washington is scrambling fighter jets to the Balkans and warships to the Black
Sea in a desperate show of purposefulness, having been caught rudely asleep as
the self-appointed global police thug.
So
much for the $50-billion-a-year American spy industry, including the National
Security Agency, which came to prominence this past year with revelations by
whistleblower Edward Snowden that the agency...[extracted] zillions of data
from computers and phones in every country of the world.
Given
the evident surprise in Washington over Russian military moves in the Crimea
this past week, the US spook industry has got some serious explaining to do for
their extraordinary lapse and atrociously poor value for tax-payer money.
The
fallback claim by US director of intelligence, James Clapper, and other spy
bosses, as well as President Obama himself, is that the NSA's violation of
privacy laws has been necessary because it keeps Americans safe from terrorism
and other threats.
Now, with Washington spectacularly wrong-footed by Russia in Crimea, that assurance of alleged vigilance looks even more threadbare. How incompetent can American spooks and their multi-billion-dollar activities be?
Now, with Washington spectacularly wrong-footed by Russia in Crimea, that assurance of alleged vigilance looks even more threadbare. How incompetent can American spooks and their multi-billion-dollar activities be?
For
some light relief comes the news that the Pentagon has now taken to
"reading the body language" of Russian President Vladimir Putin for
guidance.
No kidding, there is reportedly a unit in the Pentagon, answering directly to defense secretary Chuck Hagel, on what can be gleaned about Moscow's geopolitical intentions - based on Putin's public appearances on television.
What
this says is that US intelligence is an oxymoron. These people haven't a clue
if that is what they have to resort to for guidance. What next? Reading tea
leaves or the horoscope?
This,
however, is a double-edged sword for the rest of us. One on hand it is somewhat
reassuring that American military is so incompetent and stupid. On the
other, it is alarming that the biggest nuclear-armed predator state in the
world is so clueless about decision-making.
So,
what will the American body-language "analysts" make of President
Putin's demeanor? We know that President Obama has already made snide remarks
about Putin appearing like an insolent schoolboy "slouching at the back of
the class". So will a Putin slouch with feisty attitude over Ukraine mean
that the Russian leader is secretly about to go to war with America?
Or
what about those piercing blue eyes of Putin staring at the cameras? Is the
Russian chief flashing Aryan Blue credentials to confirm American politicians'
claims that he is the "new Hitler" and that Russian moves in Crimea
are, as they ridiculously say, tantamount to Nazi Germany's annexation of
Czechoslovakia during the 1930s in the run-up to World War II?
American
intelligence is so dumb because it is part of the totalitarian indoctrination system
that is American politics. The American ruling class and its fascist
military-financial-industrial complex has concocted so many lies and false
propaganda over decades to justify its global terrorism that the system does
not know what is real or not any more. It is so bloated on its own
self-righteous arrogance and self-serving vanity that rational analysis of
geopolitics is an impossible task in Washington.
A
diseased system cannot diagnose itself or others. And America's political
system, as with that of Europe, is rotten to its plutocratic core.
Events
in Ukraine, just as those in Syria, show that the US and its Western puppet
regimes are up to their necks in criminal regime change. In Syria, Washington
is relying on...[militants] to do its dirty work there; while in Ukraine the
role falls to neo-Nazi fascists. These proxies are in the business of sacking
legitimate, sovereign governments for the benefit of Western finance
capitalists - the only last remaining economic function of bankrupt capitalism.
Against
all the evidence staring us in the face, Western governments and their
propagandist news media turn reality on its head by claiming that what is going
are popular democratic uprisings, which the West is valiantly supporting.
The
latest revelation from the leaked phone call involving EU chief Catherine
Ashton indicating that dozens of protesters and police officers in Kiev were
shot dead by covert snipers working for the Western-backed agitators is damning
proof of orchestrated regime change. The murderous propaganda stunt and the
Western propagandized response is a replica of how the conflict in Syria was
fomented in March 2011.
Yet,
in spite of the revelations of criminal conspiracy in Ukraine and Syria,
Western governments are permitted to continue indulging in lies and fantasy
about "rebels" in Syria and "fledgling government" in Kiev
because the Western media persist in peddling outrageous disinformation
supplied to them by so-called intelligence.
Instead
of being able to assess reality of events in Ukraine, Western politicians and
their media bluster about Russian "aggression" and "violation of
sovereignty". And Western intelligence is integral to this fascistic
culture of lying and deception by the ruling elite.
That function of fabricating lies, peddling falsehoods, covering up for huge criminality, including the supreme crime of war of aggression, has corroded any ability for genuine intelligence.
That function of fabricating lies, peddling falsehoods, covering up for huge criminality, including the supreme crime of war of aggression, has corroded any ability for genuine intelligence.
The
events in Ukraine and its Crimean Peninsula reveal not just gross incompetence
among Western intelligence. More than that, the events are a reflection of the
morally bankrupt American government and its Western allies and their now
congenital inability to tell truth - or deal with the reality of their own
criminality.
