Satan Worshipers Erect Statue In US

In the U.S., a satanic church filed for the installation of a two-meter-high statue of the devil. Satanists want to erect the monument next to the buildings of the government and the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, where a monument to Ten Commandments was erected in 2012.

According to the project, the devil will be depicted in the form of Baphomet - a winged creature with goat's head and a long beard. In addition, the sculpture will have figures of smiling children. As planned, passers-by will be able to sit on the lap of Satan "for inspiration and contemplation."

A spokesperson for the satanic temple said that the monument is to reflect the views of Satanists inside and outside Oklahoma City.

Editorial
FREEDOM OF WORSHIP
The intolerance of some religious leaders is shocking.

They claim that anybody who fails to accept their doctrine is less than human and ought be burnt in what they call hell fire.

Interestingly, these same religious leaders insist on their right to be blazing bigots.
Some of them look up to Western countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Germany as their models.

We are sure, that these religious bigots will be surprised at the fact that in those western countries, Satan worshipers have the same rights as their own religious adherents.

Can you imagine Satan worshipers in Ghana insisting on their rights to erect a monument to the devil in front of the Black Star Square?

The right to worship or not to worship is a fundamental right which must be guaranteed by and every democracy .

All religions deserve the same level of respect.

This is our position.

PC Attacks Kyeremateng
Mr. P.C Appiah Ofori
Mr. P.C Appiah- Ofori, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched a blistering attack on Alan Kyeremateng, a presidential aspirant of the party.

He says that if Mr Kyeremateng, Mr Kofi Konadu Appreku or Mr Isaac Osei is elected as the presidential candidate the party would lose the 2016 elections.

According to him, the only candidate capable of winning the 2016 election is Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

In an interview with Radio Gold, Mr Appiah- Ofori repeated his warning that he would resign from the party if Nana- Addo is not given the nod.

He claimed that presidential aspirants of the party who served as Ministers in the Kufuor administration have skeletons in their cupboards and the NDC will capitalise on them.

“They are human beings and they made mistakes as Ministers” he said.
On Mr Kyeremateng, he said he failed when Mr Kufuor put him in charge of the presidential special initiative.

“The cassava project was a failure and the NDC will use it against him.

“If he couldn’t grow cassava how can he be president? He asked.

Mr Appiah Ofori claimed that Nana Akufo-Addo had an unblemished record both as Attorney- General and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He claimed that Mr Kyeremateng would win a presidential election only when he becomes a candidate when the NPP is in power.

This is because, the party will use the Government machinery to protect him.

Battle Over Koala
By Christian Kpesese
One of the two parties serving as joint administrators who leased the landing property currently occupied by Koala Shopping Centre located at Osu in Accra has appealed against a court ruling that has declared, Raphael Wuta-Ofei as the sole owner of the said property.

The court also decided that Wuta-Ofei has the capacity as administrator to sell the disputed property belonging to the family to the second defendant, Mohammed Wolley, operator of the shopping mall.

Robert Odamtten and four others who are dissatisfied with the court’s decision have filed a suit at the Court of Appeal against the High Court’s ruling.

The High Court was presided over by His Lordship Gyaesayor J.A.

The grounds of the appeal are that, the judge, Justice Gyaesayor erred when he ruled that, the first defendant, Raphael Wuta-Ofei was the rightful owner of the disputed property according to Osu tradition on the basis that the interest of a female child in the intestate estate of her father extinguished upon the death of her father.

The petitioners revealed that there is no record of any Osu tradition or custom that denies females any inheritance as claimed by the trial Judge.

Again, there was no evidence before the judge to establish that the first and second defendants gave notice to the plaintiff before engaging themselves in the sale and purchase of the property.

This was against the fact that all 3 parties including the plaintiffs, the 1st ad 2nd defendants in their capacities as leasers and lessee were signatories to a seal of an Oath of proof before the Commissioner for Oaths on how to handle issues relating to the lease of the property.

The Plaintiffs also held that the judge was wrong in his conclusion that the plaintiff lacked the capacity to maintain the court action because he was not a member of the Wuta-Ofei family.

This according to the plaintiff is inconsistence with the judges own subsequent claim that the plaintiff has a right to the property as a beneficiary of his mother Roberta Odamtten (Nee Wuta-Ofori).

Per the terms of the agreement signed by the feuding factions, each party must be present either by themselves or by counsels before making decisions concerning the property.

The plaintiff by this appeal is asking the court of Appeal to reverse the dismissal of the claim against the sale of the property by the 1st defendant to the 2nd defendant and return it to the family.

Hilda Against Sir John
Madam Hilda Addo
Madam Hilda Addo, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says that Party General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie alias Sir John should not be re-elected.

She says the re-election of Sir John and others would not be in the interest of the party.
Madam Hilda Addo said “Sir John is a fine lawyer, perhaps one of the best lawyers in Ghana but as a politician he had failed”.

She said she still has a lot of respect for Sir John but he has to make way for a more competent General Secretary.

She advised people like P.C Appiah Ofori to stop openly campaigning for some presidential aspirant of the party.

“ The party has so many competent people and I will support any one of them who is elected as presidential candidate” she said

She said there is no truth in the allegation that Mr Alan Kyeremateng failed as a Minister in Charge of the Presidential special Initiative.

“Mr Kyeremateng introduced the ‘Friday Wear” which has become very successful” she claimed.

Madam Hilda Addo said she is keeping a low profile for now.

Palestine Rejects Move
Ghana Foreign Minister, Hannah Tetteh
By Christian Kpesese
The People of Palestine have rejected attempts by Israel to impose a Jewish status on the territories of Palestinian that Israel has been occupying unlawfully for years.

In a strongly worded document addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations in Ghana, the Palestine Embassy in Ghana kicked against Israeli proclamation of Palestinian territories as  a ``Jewish State’’ stating that the move is intended to achieve political and colonial goals by the Israeli government.

The statement suggests that, the attempt by Israel is to generally conceal its unlawful occupation of Palestine territories and achieve hegemonic goals.

The imposition of a Jewish state is also aimed at facilitating the eventual expulsion of the Palestinian inhabitants from Israel and falsely reclaim the cultural Jewish and Torrah narrative.

According to the Embassy, the so-called erroneous Jewish nature of the state should be refuted by all because; Israeli passports and Identity cards refer to the nationality as Israeli and that references to religion has been abolished from such documents.

It also argues that no reference is made to religion as the main headings in passports and other official documents is ``State of Israel’’.

The release also contends that no reference has since been made to Israel as a Jewish state since the Truman Document of 1948 and that, the 1993 Mutual Recognition Document between Palestine and Israel made no reference to Israel as a Jewish state.
